The Prince’s Lead Your Own Business 2017

Applications for the 2017 Prince’s Lead Your Own Business (P.L.Y.O.B.) program are currently being reviewed, with this year’s cohort to be announced in late March.

Now in its third year, the 2017 program received 33 applications from transitioning Defence members ambitious to start a variety of businesses, from a lawyer specialising in outer space mining to franchising the business of a P.L.Y.O.B alumnus.

P.C.A is delighted to announce that His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Ret’d), Governor of New South Wales has this year joined the program’s Advisory Council as Chairman. Joining His Excellency as a member of the Council is Sean Farrell, Chief Executive of the Bravery Trust.

“It’s a great pleasure to welcome His Excellency and Sean Farrell to the Advisory Council,” said Margaret Jackson AC, P.C.A Chairman.

“Their expertise and experience with Defence is a great asset to help us further tailor the program to the unique experiences and needs of our participants.”

“It has been fantastic to receive so many innovative business proposals from our applicants, and see the number of applicants growing year on year. We look forward to announcing our successful 2017 cohort in the near future.” said Margaret.
